Mobile Michael

Michael has really become mobile over the past couple months. He started cruising around on the furniture before crawling, and I had hoped that once becoming proficient in crawling he would forget about walking. No such luck! Crawling is just a way to get from one piece of furniture to another. Michael can stand on his own for a few seconds and has even taken a step here and there! I really think walking is right around the corner.

Michael's Little Brother

Rob and I picked up our new puppy on Tuesday and him and Michael are getting along great! The pup's name is BOLO (cop lingo for "Be On the LookOut") and his registered name is Hemlock's Ironclad Alibi. Michael thinks BOLO is pretty funny at times, and other times not sure what to think of him. It's nice that Michael will have a pup of his own to grow up with.

Feeding Time Revisited

Well, we are still trying to get Michael to eat the rice cereal. He will eat a couple spoonfuls, but doesn't really seem to enjoy it. I figured, "How bad could it be?" so I tried a little. It truly made me gag!! So, Rob made some sweet potato baby foood and we gave that a go. Still not too interested. I guess it will just take time. In the meantime, though, Michael is really showing interest in the feeding process. He thinks he's a big boy now, and can do everything by himself!

Well, this week we decided to try some rice cereal. Michael's doctor said he thought he might be ready and to give a shot, so we did. Michael was a bit confused by the whole ordeal, and not quite ready. He was a real sport about it, though...
